Eddy Current Array (ECA)

Eddy Current Array (ECA) technology is a major advancement in Conventional Eddy Current method. It is a method of inspection that has proved to be effective and economical in various applications. This technology offers better coverage and a greater sensitivity to potential flaws due to the use of multiple eddy current coils, which are placed side by side in the same probe assembly. Rapid Methodical Testing Private Limited uses customized Eddy Current Array probes to best suit the application and required coverage. The number of coils and flexibility of the probe can be adjusted to inspect complex geometries.

Conventional Electromagnetic Testing

Eddy Current Testing (ET) inspection is based on electromagnetic induction caused by a magnetic field source (a coil with an alternating current sent through it) causing the induction of Eddy Currents in the electrically conductive material being inspected. Discontinuities can then be detected by measuring and analyzing the intensity variations of the current. Rapid Methodical Testing Private Limited mainly uses conventional Eddy Current to detect surface flaws, to measure conductivity and for gap measurement required by various applications such as the inspection of heat exchangers.

Remote Field Electromagnetic Testing (RFET)

TTIS Ventures Private Limited uses Remote Field Electromagnetic Testing for the inspection of steel pipes and tubes. A probe comprising a single or multiple transmission coils are positioned at twice the distance of the pipe diameter from the reception coil and uses a direct transmission mode allowing for detection of internal and external flaws. This method is typically used on ferromagnetic tubes of heat exchangers and boilers and to effectively measure loss of wall thickness.

Near Field Testing (NFT)

Near Field Testing (NFT) uses a probe made of a transmitting coil located between two reception coils. The transmission coil generates a magnetic field that induces highly concentrated Eddy Currents in the parts internal surface which will be disturbed by losses of wall thickness.
